Shelf: A Free Michael Platt Short Story

 

Shelf is a free short story depicting one strange interaction with Michael six months before the events of my horror novel, "I Really Like Hurting You." It's the first of what I hope will be many perspectives on his descent into madness and the brutal killing spree that culminates in "I Really Like Hurting You."

In this story, Michael's current foster parents take him next door for a Christmas Eve dinner with the neighbors.  The results are a bit...strange.
